{"id":1271,"date":"2025-06-04T10:44:29","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T08:44:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.cere.se\/?p=1271"},"modified":"2025-06-04T10:44:29","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T08:44:29","slug":"conference-season-has-officially-begun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.cere.se\/?p=1271&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Conference season has officially begun."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 12 May, our senior member and co-founder of CERE, Prof. Beng Kristr\u00f6m, inaugurated the Conference season by participating as Chair of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.royalholloway.ac.uk\/research-and-education\/departments-and-schools\/economics\/news\/spring-workshop-in-behavioural-economics\/\">Spring Workshop in Behavioural Economics at the Royal Holloway University of London<\/a>, focusing on emerging trends in behavioural and experimental economics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following Prof. Bengt, our scientific secretary, Sef Meens Eriksson, presented his work, &#8221;Understanding the Impact of Rising Waste Disposal Costs: Lessons from Swedish municipalities,&#8221; at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zew.de\/en\/events-and-professional-training\/detail\/13th-mannheim-conference-on-energy-and-the-environment\/4481?cHash=0210ccdf8ddc41ad47e6e56d16d7abc5\">13th Mannheim Conference on Energy and the Environment (MCEE 2025)<\/a>, which discussed innovative research in environmental, energy, and climate economics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A representative crew of CERE from SLU, including our research director, Tommy Lundgren, Chandra Krishnamurthy, Ester Herteg\u00e5rd, Shuyi Wang, Pedro Obreg\u00f3n Santander, and Chaitanya Su\u00e1rez Rojas, also attended the <a href=\"https:\/\/efi.int\/news\/ssfe2025-save-date-and-call-papers-2024-11-20\">Scandinavian Society of Forest Economics Biennial Meeting (SSFE 2025)<\/a>, dedicated to understanding the balance between climate action and biodiversity.
